Coaching Qualifications: British Triathlon Level 3 Coach, British Cycling Club Coach and Tutor, British Cycling Level 2 Track, ASA Swimming Teacher, YMCA Personal Trainer.

Dawn’s aim is to help individuals and groups, whether at beginner, GB age group or elite levels, to achieve their goals.

As well as being Club Coach for East London Triathletes, Dawn also coaches for SwimforTri, and for British Cycling on their Go-Ride activities. She also coach individual triathletes ranging from complete novices to experienced Ironmen and women.

Dawn has been a team manager for the either the World or European GB Long Distance Age Group Team since 2006, travelling with the teams to Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.

Dawn is no stranger to racing, having taken part in triathlons up to Ironman distance as well as cycling time trials and mountain bike races

Coaching Qualification: UK Athletics Level 1

Mary’s experience in running comes from racing for Orion Harriers for 10 years. Orion is a cross country running club based in Chingford and she represents the club in almost every race they compete in, however also enters many other races, including triathlons. When time allows, Mary also races for the Leyton based club, Eaton Manor. Basically, Mary loves running!!

Coaching Qualification: UK Athletics Level 1

Mark was a 400m runner at school and was Essex under 18s champion in 1970.

He has been involved with triathlon since 1999 and have organised run sessions for ELT for over seven years, involving base training in the winter, preparing for the race season with speed work, hill work and pace work. These sessions have taken place in Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and round the roads in the winter.

Mark has completed in numerous triathlons since 1999 including Vitruvian middle distance in 2005 and Ironman Austria in 2006.

He enjoys all aspects of triathlon and coaching and encouraging people to reach their potential -especially with their running.

Coaching Qualifications:

Martin is a BTF Candidate level 3 Triathlon Coach He has been involved in triathlon since 2003 competing at all distances from sprint to Ironman. In addition to triathlon coaching he is also a cytech level 2 qualified cycle mechanic and a qualified first aider.

Martin coaches for ELT on the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday swim sessions in an effort to make our swimming more efficient and faster. Martin also coaches some of the Saturday morning run sessions in Epping Forest. He also assists SwimForTri in their 1 to 1 and open water swim sessions.

Coaching Qualifications: BTA Level 1, National Cycling Instructor (CTSB504359C)

Nick has been involved in Triathlon since 1990 and has competed in all distances, including middle and iron man distance. Nick says that his coaching qualifications allow him to offer something back to the sport he enjoys so much.

Coaching Qualifications: UK Athletics Levels 1 & 2, Leadership in Running Fitness

Zoe has been a member of an affiliated runnug club (Eaton Manor AC) since 2000 and participated in winter and summer season leagues in London and Essex for 10 years. She has assisted coaches in both junior and senior track and running club sessions since 2008. Zoe likes to share her experience and knowledge with other athletes and encourage people to enjoy their local area.

Coaching Qualification: ASA Level 2 – Teaching Aquatics

Maria loves water! At the age of 5 she started swimming at Bethnal Green "Sharks" Swimming Club in Hackney. After a break, Maria swam for leisure and then 4 years ago she took up the sport of Triathlon, with the swim leg as the best of the three disciplines. Maria studied to become an ASA Qualified swim teacher to help swimmers with water confidence and improve stroke techniques and fitness. She also assists SwimForTri in their open water sessions and on triathlon holidays abroad.
