Independence
Tri Almanac is an independent guide. It is not East London Triathletes, the triathlon club that used this web address until about 2020 and that now publishes its own website at eastlondontri.co.uk. It is not British Triathlon, World Triathlon, The IRONMAN Group, any race organiser or any venue operator, and none of them reviews or funds our content. Read how we work for our sources and method.
Purpose of the site
The site publishes general information about triathlon in the United Kingdom: distances and rules, race dates taken from organisers' websites, training structures, training venues in London and kit. Figures are shown with the date they were checked and a link to the source. Organisers, venues and shops change their details, so check the official page before you enter, book or buy.
Training content is general guidance for healthy adults. It is not medical advice or personal coaching. Seek advice from your GP if you have a medical condition or any doubt about starting to train.
Privacy
This is a static website. It has no user accounts, no comment sections and no forms, and it does not ask you for personal information.

Like any website, this site is served by a hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs (such as the IP address of a request, the date and time and the page requested) for security and to keep the service running.
